November Greenkeeping Report
This month you will have seen the shockwave machine being used on all of the areas of the course that suffer with excess water through the winter months. This machine cuts into the ground to allow water to filter through the areas of clay and also into the stone drainage channels already installed.
The green dye, you will have noticed, on the greens is just a spray indicator and is completely harmless. The winter program is about to start with the filling and repair of all rabbit holes and to vertidrain the whole of the course before too much wet weather. The green staff will then start repairs to the tees.
You will have noticed that all of our yellow tees have been moved to their forward winter positions.
The white tee will be moved forward as much as possible to allow our competition tees to recover.
