July Greenkeeping Report

Hi everyone, here is this months greens report.
What a very hot, dry month we have had. Although the weather has left us with a lot of very brown fairways I think Craig, James and Chris have got our course looking and playing like a true links and in suburb condition.
During golf week this month both Craig and myself received some very positive comments on the condition of the course. Apart from two days of fog at the beginning of the week I think overall that Mullion golf week was a great success ending on the Saturday with St Keverne band playing on the patio to a large crowd. Thanks to Mark and Mandy for their hard work and a great BBQ.
The rake stands have been a welcome addition by most members and although in principle the idea works I think they need to be made of a stronger more robust material.
Craig hope's to top dress before coast to coast but this will depend on the weather.
The introduction of humic acid over the past months has achieved an excellent deep root growth on the greens.
Gordon is now walking unaided and will hopefully be returning to work on light duties very soon.
Regards Dale Wilson.
